What’s the difference between the Extension, Website Scan, and Upload?
Chrome Extension is the best option for most users — it captures and analyzes real frames from the video you’re watching. Website Scan is a faster “paste a link” check that tries to analyze frames when available, but may fall back to public signals if the site limits access. Upload Video (coming soon) is the most consistent option for locked-down platforms — you upload a file and we run a controlled frame scan on the server.
Why do I sometimes get an “Unclear” verdict?
“Unclear” means there wasn’t enough reliable signal. This can happen with heavy compression, fast motion, short clips, screen recordings, edited reposts, or when a platform limits what frames can be captured. When possible, try scanning again, or use the Chrome Extension for a stronger frame signal.
What sites does TrueSight work on?
TrueSight is built for modern video platforms. The Chrome Extension works best on YouTube (including Shorts) and many other sites with in-browser video. The Website Scan works on public URLs, but some platforms may limit access to frames. Upload (coming soon) will be ideal when platforms block frame capture.
Do you store my scans or personal data?
We do not collect personal identity information. For frame-based scans, the system processes only what is needed to generate a verdict. We may temporarily handle frame data for analysis, then discard it. (See the Privacy Policy for full details.)
