Terms of Service & Refund Policy

1. About these Terms

TrueSight (tsdetect.com, the TrueSight Chrome extension and the TrueSight iOS and Android apps) is operated by ExcelUserForm ("we", "us"). By using TrueSight you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use TrueSight.

2. What TrueSight does, and its limits

TrueSight analyzes frames from a video and returns a verdict (for example "No AI detected", "AI-generated" or "Unclear") with a confidence score. This is an automated estimate. AI-generated video changes quickly, and no detector is 100% accurate: TrueSight can miss AI content, and it can flag real footage.

Do not rely on a TrueSight result as the only basis for legal, financial, employment, medical or safety decisions, or to publicly accuse a person of faking a video. Combine it with other checks, such as the original source of the video.

3. Who can use TrueSight

You must be at least 13 years old to use TrueSight. To make a purchase you must be old enough to enter into a binding contract where you live, or have a parent or guardian's permission.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• upload or scan content you do not have the right to use, or content that is illegal. Child sexual abuse material will be reported to the authorities;
• use TrueSight results to harass, threaten or defame anyone;
• interfere with the service, overload it, bypass usage limits or payment, or access it by automated means (scraping, bots) without our written permission;
• resell or redistribute TrueSight results or access as your own service.

We may suspend access that breaks these rules.

5. Your videos and links

You keep all rights to the videos and links you submit. You give us permission to process them only to produce your result. Uploaded video files are deleted from our server after the scan, as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. The Wall

The Wall is a public page showing public videos on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok that were scanned at least twice with the link scanner, together with our verdict and community votes. It never shows who scanned a video, and uploaded files never appear on it. Votes are anonymous opinions, not our verdict.

To have a video removed from The Wall, email admin@tsdetect.com with its link. We remove valid requests promptly.

7. Paid upload scans

• Upload scans are one-off payments processed by Stripe. The price is shown before you pay. You can buy a single scan or a 3-pack.
• Each purchase is for one scan depth (Quick, Deep or Forensic). A 3-pack gives three scans of that same depth.
• Every purchase is valid for 30 days from the time of payment. Scans not used within 30 days expire.
• If a scan fails (for example the video cannot be processed or the connection drops before you get a result), that scan is not used up and you can try again.
• Your purchase link works like a ticket: anyone with it can use your remaining scans. Keep it private.
• Videos can be up to 10 minutes long and 1 GB in size.

8. Pro subscription (Chrome extension)

• TrueSight Pro is billed monthly through Stripe at the price shown when you subscribe, and renews automatically each month until you cancel.
• You can cancel any time using Manage subscription in the extension, or by emailing us.
• When you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the current billing month, and you will not be charged again. We do not give partial refunds for the remainder of a month.

9. Refund policy

• Unused scans: you can request a refund for scans you have not used, within 30 days of purchase. For a 3-pack, we refund the unused scans.
• Completed scans are not refundable, because the result has been delivered. This includes results you disagree with and "Unclear" results.
• Failed scans are never charged: the scan stays available so you can retry.
• Duplicate or mistaken charges are refunded in full.
• Subscriptions: see section 8.

To request a refund, email admin@tsdetect.com with the email address you paid with, or the purchase code starting with cs_. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method; your bank may take 5–10 business days to show it. If something went wrong, please contact us before opening a dispute with your bank — we usually resolve issues faster.

10. Free features

The link scanner, the Chrome extension's free scans and the mobile apps are free to use within daily limits. We may change these limits or features at any time.

11. Other platforms

TrueSight is not affiliated with YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X or any other platform whose videos you scan. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms.

12. No warranty

TrueSight is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that results will be accurate, complete or error-free, or that the service will be uninterrupted.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for decisions made based on a TrueSight result. Our total liability for any claim relating to TrueSight is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms as TrueSight changes. We will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use TrueSight after a change means you accept the updated Terms. Purchases you have already made keep the terms that applied when you bought them.
